make em say WOW

>
na na na naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

saw these as i walking thru wal-mart...

AMAZING!

I love pizza just like most everyone else but recently i had some of the most amazing pizza ive ever had!
YES! we all agree NYC pizza is the best pizza in the world, but this pizza was just AMAZING!

Im not a huge fan of thin crust pizza, but this joint had buffalo sauce instead of pizza sauce, avacado, parsley, garlic, of chesse and artichoke hearts...
UNREAL

THATS TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

When TIGHT pants are too TIGHT...

As my dude Termanology would say "tight pants are for girls"

CAN I GET A ...WTF???

Now being a DJ getting requests is normal, getting stupid requests is expected, & getting handed notes is the best! But this night at CLUB BLISS, this note was handed to me...

now looking at this note im sure a few things come to your mind...

1) wtf is that?
2) are you kidding me?
3) who the fuck gave you that?

with that being said, it was handed to be by a man no less than 75-80 years old!
now as the night progressed i was thinking to myself a few things...

1) this has to be a joke
2) im gettng punked
3) this has to be a joke

i was wrong about all 3, he was for really reals!
so i proceed down his check list of requests to see if i can accomadate...
walk it out ok i got that
break a leg? i think he was refering to the STANKY LEG
mrs officer ok check
got a hand clap ok no prob
he got me on the "ride with me hide with me joint" that could be anything
and juve "back that ass up" classic club joint, done

as the night proceeded i played NONE of thge songs he requested just to see what the next move would be...

with about 10 min left in the night, old man withers came up to me like a bat out of hell and threw his arms up in the air like "WTF YOU DIDNT PLAY ANY OF MY SONGS" i was buggin out like damn he waited all night to hear his shit and i passed him off as a joke! so the good spirited man i am, i played ALL of his songs for the last 10 mins and he danced his ass off like it was his last night on earth, i have yet to see him back at the club

FIRST POST OF THE NEW YEAR...

AFTER X-MAS & NEW YEARS EVE I WAS BEAT!

I'm now getting back into the groove of things, as we approach The craziest time of the year for me.

In just a few days THE SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL arrives to town, like a circus with it's head cut off. Sundance is always a good time because I always see peeps that would NEVER come to UTAH for anything else but SUNDANCE! THANKS GUYS!

But before we move onto the future, I want to reflect on 08' a little...shall we?

08' was a really good year for alot of different reasons, one being the music.
The amount of REALLY DOPE HIP-HOP that was put out this year mad me a very happy camper!

NOW IM NOT GOING TO RANT AND RAVE ABOUT SOME TOP 10, OR TOP 20 RECORDS that came out
this year, but I am going to inform you of some records that had signifigant spins in my truck this year...

DJ REVOLUTION KING OF THE DECKS

Such a dope album from start to finish, and what makes Rev's album's so good, besides the legendary cameo's & collaborations, beyond real cuts & hard production....ARE THE SKITS! And The song "THE DJ" feat. KRS-ONE has extra special meaning for me...

see why here...

BLACKMILK TRONIC

I've been hearing alot about this dude here and there, that & this, but when I heard the song "give the drummer some" I became a fan.
(HATE ME IF IM LATE, ATLEAST IM REAL ENOUGH TO ADMIT IT)
I did a show with Guilty Simpson here in SALT LAKE CITY in Nov 08 and HEX gave me a copy of the album, and after listenig to the album I finlly found out what I missing. Detroit hip hop has a strong cast of MC's, look out for more heat form THE D in 09 & be on the look out for DETROIT RAP CITY THE MIXTAPE HOSTED BY GUILTY SIMPSON MIXED BY YOURS TRULY COMING IN MID 09'

TERMANOLOGY POLITICS AS USUAL

This was my favorite album of the year hands down! WITH PRODUCTION FROM DJ PREMIER, PETE ROCK, EASY MO, BEE, LARGE PRO, ALCHEMIST, HAVOC, NOTTZ how could it not be???
not to mention BUN B is on one of the Primo tracks...enough said!
My new MIXTAPE "THE H IS ALWAYS CAPITAL VOL #3 HOSTED BY TERMANOLOGY Is dropping Feb 14th (Valentines Day awwwwwwww) Term is one of the hardest and hardest working MC's out now! LOOK for his co-op Album w/ LIL FAME of MOP droppin later this year

JAKE ONE WHITE VAN MUSIC

Where do i start with this album? How about the Power House cut "THE TRUTH " Feat/ Freeway & Brother ali...what a Ill collab.
That seemed to be the them of this record as Slug of Atmosphere Joined Pos of De La soul on a nice un-thought of connection!
here are some more notable collabs on this album
BUSTA RHYMES & BISHOP LAMONT
ALCHEMIST, EVIDENCE & PRODIGY
BLACKMILK & NOTTZ
if that wasnt enough...
when you buy the cd...you get the instrumental album
so he was looking out for the dj & the mc on that one
GOOD LOOKIN JAKE!
&
For all the real heads that read the credits...he gives you a fresh little description of how each song came about.THAT'S SO DOPE IN SO MANY WAYS!

EVIDENCE THE LAY OVER EP

Beside EVERYTHING you would expect from a EVIDENCE record including dope guest spots from WILL I AM, DEFARI, ALCHEMIST, FASHWAN, DJ REVOLUTION, DJ BABU & MORE, this EP come with a bonus disc thats has a video for everysong...YES a video for every song and it has the video for one of my favorite songs MR. SLOW FLOW....

I cant say enough about Evidence is Ep or the next record reason being is because im such a big fan of DILATED PEOPLES!

DJ BABU DUCK SEASON 3

It always refreshing to see a DJ put out an entire album that they produced themselfs,That's exactly what Dj Babu has done
***on a side note DJ REVOULTION Produced his entire Album also!
SO THATS TWO DJ'S THAT PUT OUT AN ENTIRE ALBUM WITH NO OUTSIDE PRODUCERS...AMAZING...ANYWAYS...BACK TO THE STORY
One thing that really stands out about this record & every record is the COLABORATIONS!!!
"the Unexpected" Feat/ Sean Price & MF Doom the name of the song & the collaborators speaks for it self...KARDINAL OFFICIAL & RAKKA IRISCIENCE "2 FEET"
SICK JACKEN & CHASE INFINITE "BLACK & BROWN ARMY"...That's 3 great reason to buy this record!!
seeing two people on a record you have never seen before or might night ever see again together!

GUILTY SIMPSON ODE TO THE GHETTO

Im not gonna lie Another Dope MC from The D I slept on.

(That's why I'm doing The mixtape DETROIT RAP CITY, to pay respect to the city's MC's. Ive slept on them long enough, dont know why but I did so now im making up for lost time.)

Props to my man DJ C-MINUS He put me on to Guilty in NOV of 07' and assured me he was the truth!
HE WAS RIGHT!
When I first heard this record all the way thru for the first time this what i thought....

92-96

That Era of grimeyness, that hardcore I dont give a fuck, this is me muthafucka type of rap! In your face hardcore ghetto stories!
damn I miss that shit...Not to mention he is cousins with my man RONNIE BREWER of THE UTAH JAZZ as he begins to tell you in the very first line of track # 8 "the future" w/ MED aside from all that his production is headed by MADLIB & J DILLA (R.I.P) along with OH NO, DJ BABU, BLACK MILK & MORE.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST...

LARGE PROFESSOR MAIN SOURCE

THE LEGENDARY MC/PRODUCER/DJ did not disapoint on this record.
That classic boom bap sound you would expect to hear form LARGE PRO is exactly what you get on this record. OLD SCHOOL Heads can really appreciate this record. Alot of upbeat feel good party records minus the bling & rarri's...

Now im sure there "ALOT" of other good HIP-HOP records that came out this year...
AGAIN

THIS IS SOLEY MY OPINION, NO POLLS OR SURVEYS WERE CONDUCTED...

HERE ARE 2 OTHER RECORDS THAT CAME OUT IN 08' (LATE IN THE YEAR) THATS WHY I DONT HAVE A REPORT FOR THEM, BECAUSE IM STILL MARINATING THEM...BUT SO FAR SO GOOD

LUDACRIS THEATER OF THE MIND

ONE EXCEPTIONAL NOTE ON THIS RECORD HE HAS TRACK PROCUDED BY DJ PREMIER, THAT RIGHT THERE IS WORTH $15.99
&
COMMON UNIVERSAL MIND CONTROL

ITS GROWING ON ME REALLY FAST AFTER A SLOW START...

NOW BEFORE I LET YOU GO I WANT TO POINT OUT SOMETHING...

ON THE RECORDS ABOVE THERE IS ODD COINENCIDENCE...

ALOT OF THE ARTISTS/PRODUCERS/DJ'S/MC'S APPEAR ON ALOT OF THOSE RECORDS...

IF YOU HAVE THEM, LOOK AT THE TRACKLISTINGS AND APPERANCES AND SEE FOR YOURSELF...

WIERD THAT ALL THE BEST ALBUMS, HAD THE ARTISTS FROM THE OTHER BEST ALBUMS FEATURED ON THERE ALBUMS????
